TRUCK TRAFFIC
Section 345.010. Operation On Unposted Streets Prohibited. [Ord. No. 441 §1, 7-12-2018]
Wherever “No Truck Route” signs are erected within the City of Laddonia, Missouri, indicating vehicular truck traffic, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate a loaded or empty tandem axle or eighteen-wheel truck whose gross vehicle weight is 34,000 pounds or more upon any unmarked street in the City of Laddonia, MO.
This supersedes any previous wording of a Section 345.010
Section 345.020. Designation of Routes. [Ord. No. 441 §2, 7-12-2018]
- No person shall drive or operate a loaded or empty tandem axle or eighteen-wheel truck, except authorized emergency vehicles and buses, upon any public streets except as permitted in Section 345.030 and Section 345.070 of this Chapter.
- All other streets of Laddonia shall be designated as “No Truck Traffic” and shall be construed to mean no loaded or empty tandem axle or eighteen-wheel trucks are allowed.

Section 345.030. Exceptions. [Ord. No. 441 §3, 7-12-2018]
The restrictions in Section 345.020 of this Chapter shall not apply to vehicles which of necessity shall make distribution or collection of truck load-lots, examples include but not limited to: moving vans, solid waste trucks, trucks carrying building materials to construction sites, general trucks, and school busses. Such vehicles may enter and pass through residential areas to make such distributions and collections.

Section 345.040. Refrigerated Trucks. [Ord. No. 441 §8, 7-12-2018]
Refrigerated trucks will not be allowed to be parked and/or be kept running within one block of a residence without the written permission of all the residents within a one block radius.

Section 345.050. Penalties. [Ord. No. 441 §9, 7-12-2018]
Any person violating the provisions of this Chapter, or who shall willfully or negligently damage a street, street sign, bridge, culvert or sewer, shall be guilty of an ordinance violation, and upon conviction thereof in any court of competent jurisdiction by an action of the state or city shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00).

Section 345.060. Violations; Tickets; Complaints. [Ord. No. 441 §10, 7-12-2018]
Tickets of violation of this Chapter shall be issued by any Police Officer, any city employee, an alderman, or the mayor; or any concerned citizen may advise the Police Officer of any violation by signing a formal written complaint stating that they will be willing to testify in court as to their knowledge of the violation.

Section 345.070. Truck Travel Permitted Without Permit on Certain Streets. [Ord. No. 441 §2, 7-12-2018]
Trucks (as described in Section 345.010) may only travel on the following streets without a valid permit:

East Oak Street, from Hwy 54 to the grain bins currently owned by MFA but no further than where John Street and East Oak Street merge. |
North Locust Street, beginning at the intersection of Locust and East Frist Street, crossing the east railroad track crossing and traveling directly to Hwy 54 on North Street. |
All of East First Street. |
All of East Second Street. |
That portion of the City streets running north and south between East First Street and East Second Street.
Chestnut Street, from East Second Street to Route K. Main Street, from Hwy 54 to the west city limits. West Third Street, from Hwy 54 to the water plant. This supersedes any previous wording of a Section 345.070. |
